Fall Bible Studies

1 Peter Wednesday Mornings 9:30am to 11:30am

EBF Room 125 — Beginning Sept. 11 (bring a dish to share for lunch)

Once we’re saved, God is after so much more than merely granting us entrance into heaven someday.  He longs for us to know the abundant life of spiritual wholeness purchased for us to be experienced now.  Suffering is His primary vehicle to take us there.  Come join us as we seek to comprehend that the source of all joy and hope is resident in a Person, a suffering Savior.  1 Peter shows us how to have triumphant faith amidst suffering as we learn to lay hold of a living hope.  To the degree we share in His precious sufferings, we also have the opportunity to experience joy inexpressible now, and to one day share in the glory to be revealed!

Finding God Faithful — by Kelly Mintner — Two sessions to choose from

In the midst of hardship, tragedy, and unanswered questions, it’s difficult to glimpse God at work. How do we hold onto our faith during these times? How do we trust God is working all things for our good and His glory? Trace the path of Joseph’s life in the Book of Genesis to observe how God’s sovereignty reigns, even in our darkest moments. Learn to recognize when God is working during periods of waiting, trust God’s plan when life doesn’t make sense, and rest in the sufficiency of His presence in every circumstance. His provision is enough, His presence is constant, and His purpose is unstoppable. Contact Maria Goodin maria_goodin@comcast.net  or Jodi Davison jodiraedavison@gmail.com
